“Giant of Cuma” naples Italy
discovery in 1938 of large bone fragments by Maiuri.

Excerpt from one of these articles:
“In 1938 the workers of the archaeologist Amedeo Maiuri, during the excavations on the top of the Cumana acropolis, discovered – on the western front of the so-called Temple of Jupiter – some huge bone fragments. The famous paleontologist Ralph von Koenigswald, already engaged in the search for the Gigantopithecus, warned of the discovery went to the place by joining the researchers and bringing to light the finds we have available. Exceptional skeletal remains emerged from the ground and a fraction of stone slab with traces of rock painting that revealed an unknown symbolic form to which von Koenigswald, a careful reader of Joyce, gave the name of Chaosmos. And this very painted element, immediately associated with the size of the bones of the hand, led the scholar to consider the newly found creature the greatest artist in the world. These precious materials were ready for the preparation of an epochal exhibition which should have been held in the Neapolitan museum in 1939 and which was never created due to the war events. They were preserved and forgotten for almost a century until the recent rediscovery which took place following the unexpected discovery – during an archival search of the Brigataes – of a folder containing the documentation of the excavation and the indications on their location in a remote section of the warehouses. ”

Some users of social networks have shared the images of an exhibition in the National Archaeological Museum of Naples (Italy) with several colossal skeletal remains that would have belonged to giants that lived on earth several thousand years ago, as the result of some findings from the Italian archaeologist Amedeo Maiuri in 1938, implying that they are real and that they are currently on display. In fact, the exhibition dates from 2015 and was the work of the Italian artistic group Brigataes, which manufactured and exhibited these gigantic pieces of plausible appearance, based on the discoveries made by Maiuri, who found larger-than-normal bones in the archaeological park of Cuma, close to Naples, but smaller in size than those exhibited, the museum told Reuters.
“Find of 1938, discovered by the archaeologist Amedeo Maiuri near the Temple of Jupiter on the Acropolis of Com (Cuma), where the Greeks placed the sacred area of the city. The impressive bones are identified as: skull, hand and femur belonging to the Nephilim (Nephilim). These bones are in a sala della Meridiana in the Archaeological Museum of Naples, Italy ”, says the first publication, dated April 18, which has been shared nearly 500 times. “The 24-meter giant.
