And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
The prophecy of Ezekiel 38-39 tells us that the biblical enemy Gog will lead a confederation against the tribe of Israel, (the Caucasian peoples, largely synonymous with European and Western nations as a whole, also Russia and a few others.)

Gog is the personal name of a Reubenite, but it’s also associated with the end times enemy of God and Israel. Speculation linking the identity of Gog to any Russian leader is misguided. Many modern biblical teachers hold that Russia is Magog by identifying the ancient words Rosh with modern Russia, and Meshech as modern Moscow – this is folk etymology, merely drawing connections based on similar sounding words. This is not how words work. For example, Deer and Dear are pronounced the same, and spelled closely – but you would never confuse your spouse with Bambi the deer.
