What Happened To The Northern Ten Tribed Kingdom Of Israel?

One of the greatest mysteries of all history revolves around the Northern Ten tribed Kingdom of “the House of Israel” and exactly what ever happened to them. The United Kingdom of Israel shortly after the death of King Solomon split into two separate Kingdoms under his son, Rehoboam. Upon his ascent to the throne all twelve tribes came to him asking for tax relief. His father, Solomon had taxed All Israel heavily to finance his building projects. Even as they requested Rehoboam to give a little relief some of the young men who were on his counsel suggested that he instead raise taxes. His announcement of accepting this bad advice caused the Northern ten tribes to rebel and set up their own Kingdom, The “House of Israel” with Jeroboam as King. The two remaining tribes of Judah and little Benjamin with a small portion of Levi, continued on as before being now called the Kingdom or “House of Judah.” This arrangement continued on for some years until finally between 734 B.C. and 722 B.C., the Assyrian Kingdom carried the Northern Kingdom of Israel into captivity depositing them just South of the Caucasus mountains near present day Turkey.

The House of Israel in spite of being warned never to return to the land chose not to simply remain where they were dropped of by their captors. In stead they “took counsel” among themselves and chose to journey on into a land where they where “not known”. It is this journey that has puzzled so many for centuries now. But God has begun to remove the veil of secrecy He placed over the nations as a protection for His people .Not only did they begin a journey that took them far beyond what we now term the “Middle east” but all across Northern Europe eventually leading them throughout the world.. They actually joined forces and served as mercenaries at one time with Babylon and with Medes to destroy the Assyrian Empire that had taken them captive. Guess they learned not to mess with God’s people! The preeminent thing to remember about the split into two kingdoms is they have not as yet rejoined and according to the Bible will not until Jesus returns and “unto Him will the gathering of the people be”. Many raise conjections that when the House of Israel was taken captive not all were displaced some remained, fled South and became part and parcel with the House of Judah while the remainder simply vanished into whatever. for all time erasing the House of Israel. God however promised the exact opposite would be the case, He would never forget the House of Israel.

Ezekiel 37:15-28 “The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, 16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: 17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. 18 And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these 19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand. 20 And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes. 21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: 22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all: 23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God. 24 And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. 25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever. 26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. 27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people

28 And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.”

Gone but not forgotten,
2 Kings 17:23-24 23 Until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day. 24 And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon , and from Cuthah, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and from Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel : and they possessed Samaria , and dwelt in the cities thereof.

Babylon was a servant state at this time to the Assyrians. Foreigners were placed in the land of Israel which became known as “Samaritans” There is little wonder the New Testament has little use for the “Samaritan dogs” these were not from the House of Israel they replaced it upon the land.

Israel/Ephraim did not repent to be allowed to return after their period of exile was up.

EZEKIEL 4:1-6 4:1 Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and portray upon it the city, even Jerusalem : 2 And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about. 3 Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel . 4 Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity. 5 For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel . 6 And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.

God placed it upon Ezekiel’s heart to prophecy the period to be 390 years. Again they did not repent, instead falling deeper into idolatry

33 They feared the LORD and served their own gods according to the custom of the nations from among whom they had been carried away into exile.
34 To this day they do according to the earlier customs: they do not fear the LORD, nor do they follow their statutes or their ordinances or the law, or the commandments which the LORD commanded the sons of Jacob, whom He named Israel ; 2 Kings 17:33 ,34

It seems they forgot what Moses had taught them about God’s goodness…

Deuteronomy 30 1-30

30:1 And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,

2 And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;

3 That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity (exile), and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.

Choosing instead to follow after idols they also forgot, much to their hurt …

Lev 26:14-18

14 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;

15 And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:

16 I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

17 And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.

18 And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.

So here we see that the further prophecy of Moses now takes effect. The Northern Kingdom (Ephraim) has not repented and they now have a compounding problem on their hands. Instead of the punishment ending it is multiplied times seven.

EZEKIEL LAYING ON HIS SIDE =390 DAYS =390 YEARS

ASSYRIANS WERE TO TAKE EPHRAIM INTO CAPTIVITY FOR 390 YEARS

MOSES PROPHECIED SEVEN TIMES MORE IF THEY DID NOT REPENT:

390 YEARS X 7 = 2,730 YEARS

The northern kingdoms exile period equals 2,730 years. They have never really been lost at all just placed in a stealth mode all these years, quietly being mixed among all the nations of the earth. For this reason Jesus states that He came for the lost sheep of the House of Israel (Ephraim). He began the regathering process of his lost sheep which has been going on for 2,000 years. The 2,000 years from Jesus first coming as the Suffering Messiah “Yashua ben Yoshef” (Or Jesus son of Joseph) He is also known as “the son of man”. His second coming as “Yashua ben David” the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and the end of the exile are both corresponding together in a way that only God could pull that off!

Genesis 49:10 “The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.”

Shiloh is a Title applied to Jesus. His Shiloh coming is His second coming it is there unto Him shall the House of Israel return.

In 1948 the “Zionist State of Israel was born amidst great difficulties and much argument over what to name the new State. After days of debate Israel was chosen for purely political reasons. The people that reside there now are at best “the house of Judah” and not “the House of Israel” which has yet to be gathered home.

Now let us do the math. Let’s begin by counting 2,730 years from 734 B.C. and 722 B.C. and see where we land. 734-722 B.C. SUBTRACTING THE 2,730 YEARS BRINGS US TO APPROXIMATELY 1996-2008 A.D. Warning! We do not seek to place an exact date for the return of Jesus simply point out our days of captivity and His return are close at hand! We cannot be 100% accurate with these dates; especially since the scriptural ones are in Lunar years not Solar but there is a very small difference so for our reference here we shall deal in years as we calculate them. Scripture points out …

Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Only God alone knows the exact day and hour which is how it must be. If we somehow knew Jesus was returning on January 1, 1775 everyone would go out and “party down” til 11:59 on that day but, even with the day and hour we forgot to specify which time zone is it Jerusalem central time? or what? No best left up to the Father! There was a book that made the rounds titled 1988 reasons why Jesus will return in 1988, of course its sequel 1999 reasons why Jesus will return in 1999 did not fair as well. Come to think of it I haven’t heard any more after that attempt to set a date failed. But we can know the season of the year according to Paul …

1Thessolonians 4:16-5:3 16 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1Th 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1Th 5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

1Th 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.”

Yes you may say ‘wait a minute I have always been taught that the birth of the state of Israel in 1948 was the return of Israel to the land’ … remember Paul wrote in Romans 11:25 “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.”

So don’t be surprised as you read on a little further. Oh yeah, by the way that was one of the 1998 reasons why Jesus was to come back in 1998, 40 years after Israel came home! Maybe God’s calendar is a little off? I doubt that!!!

There has been a blindness, never fully but this blindness has been like veil spread over the nations just as Isaiah prophesied it would be.

Isaiah 25:7 “And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations.”

This shall come to pass just as the fullness or completeness of the Gentiles shall have been brought into the kingdom. That will be when the Father looks at the Son and says “OK go!”

This blindness has veiled Gods true plan to many. It is sad that many have been lost because of someone’s misinterpretation

This is why blindness in part is coming off the House of Israel (Ephraim) and we are reawakening to our heritage and our roots in a powerful way. Jesus is preparing His return.

THE 2,730 YEAR WAITING PERIOD FOR THIS REVIVAL IS NOW ENDING. WE ARE NOW BEGINNING TO REPENT AND BEGINNING TO HEARKEN TO HIS VOICE AND BEGINNING TO OBEY HIS COMMANDS AND SEEK OUT HIS WAYS, REVIVAL IS COMING!

The understanding of who The House of Israel really is will open scripture to your understanding especially prophecy as never before. The Bible will seem like a new book to you. In the words of Rev. Charles Fox Parham, the father of the modern day outpouring of the Holy Spirit

As early as 1899 or before, Parham had recognized and was teaching the truth of the Christian Anglo-Israel message of the Bible.

He earnestly contended for this truth until his death in 1929. As late as two years before his death, he published an article in “THE APOSTOLIC FAITH“ magazine of July 1927 affirming his belief in this truth and encouraging his readers to accept it as being a part of the Full-Gospel message. The following are the opening and closing paragraphs of that article entitled, “The Ten Lost Tribes.”

“I want to write a short sketch to introduce to our readers one of the most important topics of the day, commonly known as Anglo-Israel, or The Ten Lost Tribes. I do not think that any Full Gospel preacher ought to longer delay in acquainting himself with this subject as I believe it belongs with the Full Gospel Message and that the message of the last days must include this subject or we are not preaching the Full Gospel.”

“Now, if the reader will carefully read Jacob’s blessings upon his children for the last days, and all the prophecies concerning Israel in the Old Testament, knowing they refer to the above named nations (ie: Anglo-Saxondom) and belong to us as a people, (ie: Protestants) the Old Testament will become a new book to you full of vital importance and interest.”
